just came back from europe 3 days ago..

well, our trip began when we flew from changi airport to istanbul airport on 3rd dec.
the flight took 13 hours..
long har..

then, from there, we took another 2 hours flight to vienna, before transferring immediately to Cesky Krumlov, a small and lovely town (it's seriously brilliant, especially at night), near the Czech-Austria border.

stayed in Hotel Old Inn, quite a luxurious one, but my room is far from that..
no, no, not that is old or anything, but it looks quite frightening.
the structure, is different from other rooms.

we had intensive practices there in Cesky, and then transferred to Bratislava, Slovakia on the third day.

there, our competition venue, we stayed in Hotel Astra, bearing much similarity to Hotel Opatov in Prague (the one we had two years ago), had practices in the lobby, attracting many passer-bys and other choristers to view.

that very evening we reached Bratislava, we hurried to the chapel in the Old Town Square for the opening ceremony, where we were invited to perform. we were the first choir to sing, and the ceremony lasted for about an hour.

the next day was our competition, and our slot is at 11am.

practised in the morning before setting off for the Mirror Hall, in the Primates Palace, Bratislava.

okay anyway..

after the competiton, we were free to roam for 3 hours!

the guys, who hid our cravings for coke by naming it luohanguo, chionged to the mac and ate like mad men

well, that was just exageration..lolz.
quan feng ate two up-sized meals! lolz.! a truely hungry man..

took the results the next day..
and we got a GOLD!

92.8/100. quite a fairly good score..

came in 2nd for our U-16 choir category..
with the winner of the category coming from czech republic, with a score of 93.3/100
woo..so so close..

well, the winner of the whole competition is from sweden, also the winner of the chamber choirs category, and the winner of overall best performance.

their performance was indeed breathatking..and here's a picture of the young conductor who attracted many many girls throughout the festival, including our choir girls..lolz..

and his choir..well, they sounded more like accapella group, though.

well, he did the right thing, which was to stand right at the back, in order not to block anyone.

well, i circled him in the picture. that's him talking to us, while his choir is celebrating their SILVER AWARD.

met Methodist Girls after the result show and before the gala concert outside the chapel, and congrats for getting SILVER! well, their performance wasn't a bad one..

okay, anyway. let's carry on..

lolz..stayed in bratislava for the last night where my room got punished for being late.. (due to MTV, =x). then transferred to Vienna, Austria.

there, we stayed in small but luxurious Hotel Savoy.

the bedroom is very nice, thus a pity to only stay for a night..

yea, anyway, watched the opera on the second last day..it was split into 3 parts. 1.5 hours for the first part, and the last 45 minutes.
survived for the first two, but went down on the last..it would have been much better if there was a translation or anything..

well, went back to our hotel after that..
and had our quiz! lolz.
20 ques all together to be asked by each group..

and the least scoring group (groups are poco a poco, animato, sforzando and piu mosso) will not be able to stay up the last night..

in the end, PMS (piu mosso) scored 4 points, while my group, PAP (poco a poco) scored 17. animato topped with 27 and SFZ finished 2nd.. all of the PMS members had to sleep while the rest can have our night activities..

but..

it turned out to be a blessing in disguise for them..cos we received complains and 99% of those who stayed up were grounded from shopping the last day.

tough luck..

anyway..went to airport at 2pm euro time and reach changi airport at 4pm s'pore time, aftre transitting in istanbul. so that's the end of our trip.
